Good Shepherd Cross T7691
$51.95
"For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." The Nativity scene goes back to St. Francis of Assisi, who set up the first one at Greccio in 1223 so people could see how humbly God came to us. A cross on the wall is a sign that Christ is welcome in your home, and it makes a meaningful gift for a sacrament or a new home.
The Gospels all testify that Jesus of Nazareth was crucified on Golgotha, a Hebrew word meaning "the Place of the Skull" or Calvaria, in Latin. It was on this hill of Calvary, just outside Jerusalem, that Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the world, as He was scourged, crowned with thorns, crucified and pierced through the heart for our salvation. Inspired by Jesus' ultimate act of love - his Crucifixion - we have created the Calvary Crucifix Collection.
Each crucifix comes elegantly packaged in a gift box.
