"For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." The Nativity scene goes back to St. Francis of Assisi, who set up the first one at Greccio in 1223 so people could see how humbly God came to us. A good nativity set becomes a family heirloom, brought out every year and handed down to the next generation. Some families keep the manger empty until Christmas Eve.
This Nativity Set from Avalon Gallery™ is the perfect midsize option for church or home decoration. It is finely crafted to bring the story of Christmas to life. Made of stone resin, it has detailed carvings and an antique color palette. This set comes with Joseph, Mary and Jesus in the manger in a signature gift box for easy storage or gifting.
