Description

Lent is our forty days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving with Our Lord in the desert, preparing for the joy of Easter. Lighting the candles together at the dinner table, with a prayer and maybe a verse of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," keeps the family focused on what the season is really about.

Lighting a Lenten Candle each week during Lent is a practical, tangible way to remember Christ's journey to the Cross, as well as our own commitments to draw closer to God during Lent.
