St. Benedict, patron of Europe, wrote the rule that shaped monastic life for 1500 years. Catholics have trusted in his intercession and his medal for protection from temptation and the evil one. A statue gives our prayer a focus and a place, whether on a home altar, a bookshelf or a classroom. Have it blessed by a priest and let it remind the whole family to pray.
Inspired by the muted color palette and glorious detail of the wood carved statues seen especially in southern Italy, this statue of Saint Benedict is a rare treat ~ beautiful, faithful renderings of the beloved saint, together with a price that simply cannot be beat in the marketplace. We are proud to offer this piece to the retailer; each carefully packed in a beautiful Avalon Gallery signature gift box.
