San Damiano Crucifix
$195.00
The San Damiano Cross spoke to St. Francis of Assisi in a crumbling chapel: "Francis, go and repair my house." It is a beloved icon of the crucified and risen Christ. Every Catholic home should have a crucifix on the wall, it reminds us how much Our Lord loves us. Hang it in the main room or above the bed, and have it blessed.
Uniquely ours, this Marco Sevelli plaque offers a larger, easy-to-see-from-a-distance option for church or home devotion. Each sturdy plaque is accented with rich gold tones and includes an easel for standing and a hook for hanging.
The illustrative imagery on the San Damiano Cross has been used for centuries to teach the Crucifixion of Christ. It holds much meaning for Catholics as Saint Francis knelt before it to pray and received his instructions from God to rebuild the Church. Franciscans treasure this descriptive cross as a symbol of their mission from God.
