This sterling silver St. Patrick medallion is 1" X 3/8", has a Rhodium, lite curb chain and is enclosed in a charming box. The St. Patrick medal shows him as a bishop with his staff. This St. Patrick pendant is square, not oval.
St. Patrick was born in Britain, but as a young boy was captured and sold into slavery in Ireland. After six years he was able to escape, but the time as a shepherd had given him time to think and he had converted to Christianity. He became a priest and bishop and then returned to Ireland in order to preach to the Irish pagans. He is the patron saint of engineers and of Ireland.
