St. Margaret Mary Alacoque dedicated herself to Christ in a convent.  Through her, Our Lord spread His message of praying to His Sacred Heart.  At first many did not believe her, but eventually she was able to convince Church authorities of the authenticity of her visions and that it was a message worthy of belief.  She is the patron saint of polio and the loss of parents.
