This sterling silver St. Bede medallion is 1/2" X 1/4".  The St. Bede pendant comes with a sterling silver, lite curb chain and is enclosed in a beautiful box.  St. Bede is pictured with a book surrounded by the prayer "St. Bede the Venerable, Pray for Us".  This small St. Bede medal is perfect for wearing around your neck.
Bede worked as a scholastic at his monastery in England.  He wrote works in history, science and theology.  It is for his theological commentaries on the Bible, including a summary of earlier writings, that he is venerated as a Doctor of the Church.  He is the patron of lectors.
