This sterling silver St. Basil pendant comes with a rhodium, lite curb chain, is enclosed in a beautiful box and is 3/4" X 1/2".  The St. Basil medal shows him with a book.  Around the edges it reads, "St. Basil the Great, Pray for Us".  This St. Basil medallion can be engraved with a personalized message.  Please select from the drop-down box above if you wish it to be engraved.
St. Basil lived an ascetical life and banded together with others of like mindset to found one of the first monasteries.  His rule of monastic life is unique in his time for its moderation and balance between prayer and work.  It influenced the rule of St. Benedict, and he is known as the father of eastern monasticism.  He is the patron of hospital administrators.
