This gold-filled St. Sebastian pendant comes with a stainless gold, heavy curb chain, is enclosed in a charming box and is 1" X 7/8".  The St. Sebastian medallion shows the saint tied to a tree and pierced with arrows.  An angel is ministering to him.  
St. Sebastian was a high-ranking soldier in the Roman army, and a secret Christian.  When his faith was discovered, he was tied to a tree and shot with arrows.  He survived this and was nursed back to health.  Instead of leaving Rome, he remained and began to preach against the emperor.  He was re-captured and clubbed to death.  He is the patron saint of athletes and soldiers.  This St. Sebastian medal would be a great gift for an athlete you know.
