This gold-filled St. Louise de Marillac medal is 1" X 7/8" and is enclosed in a charming box.  It comes with a stainless gold, heavy curb chain.  The St. Louise de Marillac pendant shows her in her sister's habit.
St. Louise de Marillac, after her husband's death, met St. Vincent de Paul and together they founded the Daughters of Charity.  This was a new type of religious order for women, as they were not enclosed in a convent but rather went among the people to care for the poor, sick and orphaned.  She is the patron saint of orphans and social workers.  This St. Louise de Marillac medallion would be a great gift for someone with a devotion to her.
