This chaplet was revealed by the Archangel Michael to Anthony De Astonac of Potugal, now vererated as servant of God. In his apparition to Anthony, St. Michael said that he wished to be venerated with nine invocations in honor of the Nine Choirs of Angles.
The Archangel promised to obtain for those who honored him with this recitation the grace of being accompanied by an angel form each one of the nine choirs, when receiving the Body of Christ during Holy Communion. To those who recited the Chaplet everyday he promised his particular and constant help and that of all the angels throughout their lives, and also in Purgatory after their death.Structure of the Chaplet of the Angels:The beads used to recite the Chaplet of the Angels are composed of nine parts, each of which contains a bead for the Our Father and three beads for the Hail Mary. The four beads which come before the medal bearing the image of st. Michael the Archangel, remind us that after invoking the Nine Choirs of Angels it is necessary to recite another four Our Fathers in honor of the Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and our Guardian Angels respectively.
