Empire. Died September 5, 1997 in Calcutta, India. Beatified
October 19, 2003 by Pope John Paul II.

Accomplishments:
Mother Teresa is one of the most prominent Catholics of the 20th
Century. Her Missionaries of Charity were known for their
service to the lowest of the low: the impoverished, the diseased,
and the dying. She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979
for her humanitarian work.
