This gold-filled St. Stephen pendant is 1" X 7/8", has a stainless gold, heavy curb chain and is enclosed in a beautiful box. The St. Stephen medal shows him in a deacon's vestment, with one hand upraised in teaching.
St. Stephen was one of the seven deacons appointed by the apostles in the Acts of the Apostles. He was a great preacher of the Gospel, and was arrested by the Jews. In a long speech to the Sanhedrin, he gave a great defense of Christianity. They were so incensed by his condemnation of their faith that they took him outside the city and stoned him. He is the patron saint of deacons and stonemasons. This St. Stephen medallion would be a great gift for someone with a devotion to him.
