This gold-filled Pope St. Pius X medallion is enclosed in an elegant box and has dimensions of 3/4" X 5/8".  It also has a gold-filled, lite curb chain.  This oval Pope Pius X pendant features his bust surrounded by the words, "Saint Pius X".
St. Pius X was pope in the early 20th century.  He had a great love of poverty and, even while pope, tried to maintain his humble lifestyle.  He was very concerned about the faith of the average person, and so he began to encourage daily Communion and he also lowered the age of First Communion to seven.  Thus he is the patron saint of first communicants.  This Pope St. Pius X medal would be a great gift for someone receiving First Communion or for someone who has a great devotion to him.
