Roses Fall Where Rivers Meet

Reprint of the original 1937 edition by Carmelite Father Albert Dolan. A description of the Little Flower's "Shower of Roses."

This unique book presents an intriguing idea of God's love for St. Therese and her love for Him as two rivers descending and mounting until they mingle and form the "shower of roses" which the Little Flower promised to let fall on earth.

Gathered here from Father Dolan's famous novena retreats are gems from the Little Flower's "Autobiography," facts about her childhood and family, and selections of her poetry and prayers. "Roses Fall Where Rivers Meet" is a veritable guidebook for souls wishing to follow St. Therese's path to heaven.

No one, however tepid in their faith, can know the Little Flower without being profoundly affected spiritually and inspired in some measure to imitate her. "Roses Fall..." masterfully defines and delivers the spirit of St. Therese's "Little Way" in a manner that is at once childlike and profound and, most importantly, accessible to all.

About the Author: Reverend Albert Dolan, O. Carm. was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in 1892. He attended St. Augustine's Seminary, Toronty, from 1913 to 1918. Upon his ordination a year later, he entered the Carmelite Order. Father Dolan had the extraordinary privilege of visiting the interior of the cloister at the Carmel of Lisieux, France. The sisters of St. Therese presented him with the original painting of her and the precious relics now enshrined at the Society of the Little Flower in Darien, Il. He died on January 22,1951.
