About the Artist Kitty Cleveland, a native of New Orleans, has been moving audiences with her angelic vocals for over 20 years. She has extensive professional opera, theater and concert experience, including singing back-up vocals for noted soprano Sarah Brightman, and has appeared in concert in Europe, Canada, and throughout the United States. A growing, grass-roots fan base is getting the word out about this special new Catholic artist. Her debut album, Surrender, received the 2001 UCMVA Unity Award for Sacramental Album of the Year, and her second album, Sacred Arias, was selected as a finalist for the 2002 Devotional Album of the Year. Kitty's third release, The Miracle of Love Rosary, was done in conjunction with Fr. Robert Cavalier in 2002. Due to Divine Providence, it was one of the first recordings in the world to contain meditations on the Luminous Mysteries. Her much-anticipated Christmas collection, O Holy Night, has been enthusiastically received to glowing reviews.
"O Holy Night" is a beautiful, lush Christmas collection with a Celtic personality. Kitty Cleveland's vocals are arguably at her best on this recording, and her interpretation is warm, soothing and smooth. The arrangements my Mel Rogers include strings, classical guitar, harp, Irish flute, pennywhistle, boudrain, English horn, oboe, and some enchanting Enya-like orchestrations.
