This statue features Mary holding Jesus while sitting on top of a house supported by angels. It was handcrafted and painted with goldlife in Colombia, using Italian techniques for finishing. It is 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide at the base. It is a nice sculpture for a desk or table.
This statue is a great representation of Our Lady of Loreto. According to tradition, the house in Nazareth where Jesus grew up was transported in the 13th century to Loreto, Italy, where it has been a place of pilgrimage and many miracles. This statue beautifully shows the house and the angels who transported it from Nazareth to Italy.
