Formed in exquisite sterling silver, with an elegant layer of 18 Kt. Gold coating, this Crucifix consists of a delicately fashioned Corpus upon an intricately bordered Celtic cross.  It spans a length of 2.0 cm.  Your purchase will come in a gift box and include an 18” stainless steel chain.  If you would like a different size chain please indicate in the "comment section" which measurement you prefer [18", 20", 24", 27", or 30"].   Irish crosses have been a faithfully kept tradition of Ireland since as early as the fifth century.  Their design is attributed to Saint Patrick, who one day drew a circle around a standard Latin cross.  This simple addition to the cross attracted the attention of the Irish pagans, who frequently used the same combination of a circle and cross to represent the sun.  A legend also explains that an open circle was used by the pagans to signify the moon goddess.  By positioning the circle behind the cross, Patrick showed that Christ was triumphant over all false deities.
